Temple Beth El Announces
A New Policy Regarding Jewish Interfaith Couples!

The congregation of Temple Beth El recently approved far-reaching changes to its constitution, signaling a move toward becoming more inclusive and more welcoming to the Jewish Interfaith community.

In order to better serve the community, Temple Beth El, the largest Reform Jewish congregation in Rockland County, has adapted its policies to the new reality. Rabbi Ronald Mass has conducted the Temple’s first interfaith pre-wedding traditional blessing, known as an Auf Ruf.  Cantor Arlene Frank officiated at the Jewish wedding of the couple and a reception for family and friends followed in the Temple’s ballroom.

With this new outlook and direction, Temple Beth El is embracing our Jewish Interfaith community.  This has created an exciting atmosphere in the Reform community of Rockland.
