Temple Beth El is the largest Reform Congregation in Rockland County. For more than 60 years, Temple has been inviting Rockland county and Northern New Jersey families, couples, singles and seniors to join and become part of the TBE community. Located in the center of the County, 40 minutes from mid-town Manhattan, our membership draws from all over Rockland County as well as New Jersey, Westchester, New York City to Florida and points beyond. We are minutes from the New Jersey border with easy access from the New York State Thruway, the Palisades Interstate Parkway and the Garden State Parkway.

We are an inclusive, welcoming community. Interfaith couples and families are welcome.
The benefits of joining Temple Beth El are many. For example:
* Our dynamic religious school offers both the religious training to prepare children for their Bar or Bat Mitzvahs as well as hands-on learning about Jewish customs and practices, the Holocaust and issues that affect the Jewish people.
* Confirmation classes continue the Jewish educational experience for our post-Bar/Bat mitzvah children. Grades K-2 are open to all though beginning in the 3rd grade, membership is required. Reduced tuition is part of membership for the 1st and 2nd grades of Religious School as well as for our highly regarded Nursery School.
* Our Youth Groups offer preferred discount rates for member families.
* The use of the sanctuary is free of charge for all life-cycle events.
High Holiday tickets are included as a benefit of membership. Free babysitting is available during the High Holidays. Guest tickets can be purchased by our members.
Membership affords you and your children a source of vital spiritual support and makes you a contributor to Jewish religious and cultural life. Synagogue involvement fosters a greater understanding of contemporary Reform Jewish life, as well as the opportunity to build wonderful new friendships.
We urge you to identify your interests and professional or personal expertise and volunteer to lend a hand. As a result, the Congregation and the entire Jewish community will be strengthened and members quickly learn that doing something for the Temple is, indeed, interesting and enjoyable. The gratification of a job well done is a greater reward than one can imagine. Our volunteers find that there is more to being a member than just paying dues.
By adding a vital link to the ancient chain of Jewish tradition, you will be rewarded with a fundamental sense of well being that can be achieved in no other way. Don’t be shy. Get involved. Introduce yourself to the world of Temple Beth El. Be assured: you will receive a very warm welcome!
