HOW TO HONOR OR REMEMBER TEMPLE BETH EL AND YOUR LOVED ONES
These are the tribute funds with a description of what each one represents. Anyone, a temple member or not, may make contributions in memory or in honor of loved ones. All contributions to these funds will be acknowledged in the Temple Bulletin and in writing. Each fund requires a minimum of $5, unless indicated otherwise. At the bottom of the funds is a LINK to the donation form on this site.
The Rose and Moe Aranow Memorial Library Fund
Donations to this fund are used to purchase books for the Temple library. These volumes are available to Temple Members. A donation of at least $18.00 entitles the donor to a name plate in a book upon which the donor and the one honored or remembered is inscribed. Minimum donation to the fund is $5.00.
The Temple Art Fund
Contributions to the Art Fund enables us to offer our members a spiritual experience through appropriate art. All donations are acknowledged.
The Brick Fund
This was the first fund established by the Temple. The donations are placed in the Temple Building Fund.
The Cantor George Weinflash Music Fund
Contributions are used to enrich and enhance the music programs and allow for the appearance of guest musicians.
The Sylvia and Hyman Rosenzweig Scholarship Fund
This fund subsidizes promising young people who engage in programs to deepen their knowledge of Judaism. The fund was established under the philosohpy that our young people are our future. We need rabbis, cantors and, perhaps most of all, educated lay persons. The fund subsidizes promising young people learning about Judaism and in other programs that deepen their Jewish knowledge. Grants are available for Rabbinic and Cantorial studies as well as to pursue a course of Jewish studies.
Phyllis & Morton Simon Prayer Book Fund
Each donation of $36.00 is used to purchase a nameplate in honor or in memory of whomever you desire. It will be placed in the front of a copy of the Mishkan T'filah, the new Reform movement prayerbook. Each contribution of $40.00 is used to purchase a nameplate for placement in a Chumash/Bible.
The Garden and Beautification Fund
Donations to this fund will be used to do plantings and maintain the beauty of our Temple grounds. This is a program supported through the help of our children in the religious school.
Rabbi Louis Frishman Youth Endowment Fund
In honor of Rabbi Louis Frishman’s unequaled dedication to our children and their future. If provides funds for our Youth Programs and Youth Groups.
The Holocaust Torah Fund
Your contribution affirms our commitment to never forget our six million lost in the Holocaust, and provides us with funds needed to advance our educational programs. Minimum donation to the fund is $18.00
The Family Education Fund
Jewish learning is not just for children! Jewish learning is for families! The purpose of this fund is to support hands-on educational programs for families of all ages. Family education programs are interactive and thought provoking. Programs cover a variety of topics and take place year-round. This fund helps Temple to pay for important learning resources that make our programs successful.
